150 suspects held in Lahore
LAHORE: City Police have arrested more than 150 suspects from different areas after a suicide attack on a police picket at the Babu Sabu Interchage on Monday. Arrests were mostly made by the Iqbal Town Division Police. Iqbal Town Division Superintendent Ali Nasir Rizvi said most of the arrested men were Afghan nationals or those who lacked proper identification. He said his division started a crackdown to arrest any suspected terrorist within two hours of the attack. He said areas occupied by Afghan nationals or Pashtuns were being thoroughly checked, adding that those without proper identity documents were being arrested and would not be released until their identities were proven. Police sources said the arrested were being held at carious police stations in the city. staff report
